“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children…to leave the world a better place…to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

My Favorites...

Okay so I am obsessed with reading, just ask my parents (literally my first word was "book") and I'm proud to say I get my reading habits from my Nana! (mom's mom). Nana, from an early age, showed me the many adventures and worlds that were calling to me, waiting for me in the simple words on a page in a book. I have always been with a book (or usually two). Old bookstores or even Barnes and Noble are such a wonderful escape for me, the organization, the colorful spines of book are a rhythmic detox when I'm feeling stressed. My list of favorites are below, not in any certain order and the list is truly never ending.

My favorite children's books:

1. The Frog and Toad Collection

2. All of the Little Polar Bear books

3. All of Shel Silverstein! (like Where the Sidewalk Ends)

4. Nora's Stars

5. I believe I have all of the books by Beverly Cleary, and I own the movie Ramona and Beezus... I was so excited when that came out!

6. My Father Always Embarrasses Me... such a cute book !

7. Katie's Picture Show (this is by far my favorite book as an adult anyways, it has gorgeous illustrations and it will be one of my future children's favorite books!!
